Peter Degel, PhD, is the Executive Director of Youth Dynamics, and has served with the agency since 1999. Dr. Degel is an experienced mental health clinician with a background in mental health, education, and developmental disabilities. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and serves on the Board of the Montana Social Work Examiners and Professional Counselors, as well as the Montana Children’s Initiative. With a strong commitment to respect, personal responsibility, pride and commitment, Dr. Degel’s leadership has greatly expanded the number of youth and families Youth Dynamics serves each year. Among his accomplishments during his eight-year tenure as Executive Director, he has added more than 15 locations and numerous services, including equine therapy-based group home care, independent living curriculum and substance abuse treatment.
