Interns, Volunteers & Community Collaboration
Internships and Volunteer Opportunities
Paid and unpaid Internships are available. Contact our Human Resources Office (1-877-458-7022) for more information on these opportunities.
Due to the rigorous screening process to work with YDI youth, we do not offer many volunteer opportunities working directly with a youth outside of internships. If you are seeking that one-on-one relationship, please consider applying as a Family Support Assistant (Therapeutic Mentors) or Relief Counselor.
Volunteers are needed periodically for special events or projects. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact your local office or group home to find out about opportunities to help make kids’ lives better. We do need volunteers to assist with building and repair projects, as well as fundraising and education events.
Community Collaboration
Youth Dynamics is an agency with partnership and collaboration central to its mission. YDI supports families’ choices and happily works with other providers and resources to serve youth in the best, most effective way. YDI often provides training on topics such as the children’s mental health system in Montana, sexual abuse and offenses, and substance abuse treatment. We are happy to offer presentations and collaboration to other organizations supporting healthy, happy families in Montana. Please contact our Public Relations Department or a local office or group home (1-877-458-7022 to connect to any YDI location) to request a presentation, sponsorship, participation in conference or event, or other community relations or education activity. You may also email ideas or requests to helpkids@youthdynamics.org.
We are also happy to provide tours of our offices and group homes. Due to confidentiality requirements, however, please contact the facility you would like to tour to set an appointment. We especially encourage tours of our Group Homes in Billings (STAR, Rimview, and River’s Edge), the Big Sky Youth Center in Bozeman, the Lewis & Clark Youth Home in Helena, and the AYA Boulder camps (Choices, New Journeys, Opportunity, New Beginnings, and the Day Treatment program).
Some of the organizations and agencies we work with include Head Start, the Billings Area Family Violence Task Force, Mental Health Local Advisory Councils, the Montana Juvenile Justice system, the State of Montana Department of Child & Family Services, as well as local schools, non-profit agencies, and other charitable organizations working on behalf of youth and families in Montana!
