Day Treatment Program - Boulder, MT
Program
Description
Day Treatment services have been developed to serve youth who reside
in group homes, foster homes, or with their families that lack the
skills for functioning in the regular school population. Youth enrolled
in the day Treatment program receive educational services from certified
staff while working on their mental health and behavioral problems.
the focus of Day Treatment activities tend to be each youth's mental
health needs as identified in his/her individual treatment plan
in the context of classroom and individual activities. Educational
services are coordinated with the local school district.
Program Benefits
The primary goal of Day Treatment is to stabilize the youth emotionally
while addressing the youth's needs for social and life skills training
as well as educational needs. Once emotional and educational stability
is achieved, the youth's treatment team will attempt to transition
the youth to local school services withn the school facility. Each
classroom is staffed at a minimum 1:6 ratio of staff to youth, and
therapists carry a maximum caseload of 12 youths.
Suggested Uses

Youth who are performing poorly in regular schools because
of emotional and/or behavioral problems.

Youth who have received mental health services in a school
setting and have not been successful.

Youth who exhibit severe emotional and behavior problems that
would interfere with their performance in a regular or special
education setting on a school campus.
