Family Based Services Program
 Program
Description
The Family Based Services (FBS) Program is a time-limited in-home
service provided to a referred family for the purpose of placement
prevention, protection of children, and preservation of families.
The treatment model is based on the identification and enhancement
of family strengths and builds on the fundamental assets of the
family structure. It is a treatment and rehabilitative program for
families in crises. The basis of treatment is the Individual Treatment
Plan that will establish the duration and the intensity of the service
as it relates to the needs of the individual family. The Care Manager
will be the primary in-home worker with the therapist/treatment
supervisor providing clinical supervision and therapeutic interventions
as needed with the family.
The majority of families referred to FBS are involved with DPHHS.
The Care Manager conducts at least weekly home visits with the parents/guardians
to identify and develop strengths in parenting skills, parent training,
and to provide face-to-face assessment of needs. Youth Dynamics,
Inc. offers a community-based, least intrusive/least restrictive
in-home support service, along with crisis intervention.
*This service is only provided through a contract with Child and
Family Services.
