Letter Boards to Celebrate the #MomLife

by | May 10, 2020 | Blog, Featured, Parenting, Quotes

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate and embrace all that it means to be a mom. The truth is, moms work hard, and while we romanticize the role, motherhood is not always easy or pretty.

One could say that to be a mom is really the hardest job out there, demanding the orchestration of multiple roles, often at the same time. As moms, we often play the part of caregivers, employees, partners, daughters, and more.

It’s not always easy to wear so many caps, either. So, we would like to say hats off to all those moms out there doing their best- regardless of whether they’re a mom by biology or through a role they’ve made the choice to take on.

In order to celebrate the glorious mess that is motherhood, the true dedication of the women we love most, we’re sharing ten of the best motherhood letter boards that we could find.

Talking to My Kids:
Me: I’m not going to tell you again.
Narrator: She did in fact tell them again.

Messy hair, don’t care. Actually, I do care it’s just that motherhood has forced me to lower my standards. Like a lot.

Show me a perfect mother, and I’ll show you a leprechaun riding a unicorn over a double rainbow with a fairy holding a pot of gold.

Sometimes I think I’m a full-grown woman. Then, sometimes I lock myself in the bathroom with a piece of chocolate I said my kid couldn’t have.

Mom sleep. It’s like regular sleep, but without the sleep.

Me: Please go to sleep so I can eat chocolate and watch Netflix.
Also, Me: Please wake up, I miss you.

You know you’re a mom when you’ve been washing the same load of laundry for 3 days because you keep forgetting to put it in the dryer.

Making Mom Friends: I see you have created a tiny human. I, too, have done this.

Dear sweet child, 4 am mom and 8 am mom are two very different people. Choose wisely.

Parenting is a battle between going to bed to catch up on some zzz or staying awake to finally get some alone time.
