Therapeutic Youth Mentor Program

Did you know that 1 in 5 children struggle with their mental or behavioral health? If you are concerned about your child, you are not alone. We can help. For over 40 years, Youth Dynamics has been providing extra one-on-one support to children and families in need. Our Therapeutic Youth Mentor Program is designed to help kids learn the skills they need to thrive at school, in the community, and at home.

Our Youth Mentors, previously known as Family Support Assistants, work with youth individually to help them develop the positive coping and social skills they need to navigate their environment. Ultimately, the therapeutic relationship built with children through our mentoring program helps them learn healthy relationship skills with peers and caregivers.

How does the program work?

Children are assigned a mentor and may work with them anywhere from two to thirty hours a week, depending on your child’s needs and the family’s schedule. Mentors may work with children at school, in the community, and even practice life skills with them at their home.
